PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) left early access in December, launching its 1.0 release on the 20 th of the month. Grand Theft Auto V made one of the biggest jumps in the chart this month, up four spots to #10, as the game took on a festive theme for the holiday season and a new content update was launched for the multiplayer online mode: The Doomsday Heist. Based on data from Newzoo’s PC Game Tracker, in the U.K, where Hearthstone is the most popular core PC game, the share of players, average daily time, and average session time all increased in December as players explored the new expansion. Though Hearthstone remained at #2 following the launch of its Kobolds and Catacombs expansion in early December, Blizzard’s popular battle card game experienced an increase in the unique number of sessions played compared to November. Below these, some significant changes were observed, with several titles climbing and falling in the ranking and two new titles re-entering.
The top six titles in the Top 20 Most Played Core PC Games were unchanged in December.
